The clear rivers and lakes of sarthe are home to a wide range of different species of fish. The Sarthe and the Loir rivers are home to pike, pike-perch, perch, bleak, roach, carp, tench, gudgeon while in the River Vègre is home to pike, perch and trout.
In partnership with the Sarthe Federation for Fishing and for the Protection of the Watery Environment, the Sarthe Tourist Board has created a chart of quality “Séjours pêche en Sarthe”.
