Malicorne, a city of craftmanship
Famous for its ceramic tradition and prestigious output, malicorne has undisputedly been one of the major centres of French pottery since the 18th century. A great many potters have shops in the streets of teh town and offer some splendid pieces that blend tradition and modernity.

Malicorne Espace Faïence. Built on the site of an ancient manufacture (19th century) and having kept its old kilns and chimney, Malicorne Espace Faïence proposes an amusing and interactive visit along which you will discover the art of pottery, its past history in a more than 2,000 m2 permanent or temporary exhibition. Its animation centre invites young and old in an initiative course in the land of Art. www.espacefaience.fr
Faïenceries d'Art de Malicorne. The guided visit in the workshops enables the visitors to discover the earthenware manufacture in the traditional respect for the great Matsers of the XVIIIth century: from the clay extracted from quarries up to the final stage of baking. www.faiencerie-malicorne.com
Jean Marie's workshop. A few steps away from Malicorne, in a small farm house in Villaines-sous-Malicorne, Jean-Marie, a potter, will show you his craftsman pottery displayed in his show-room.
