Celebrate all the heroes of Le Mans and have a party: this is the event’s main objective! Residents of Le Mans, Sarthe, Paris, Brittany, spectators from all over France, as well as from Britain, Holland, Germany, Denmark, Italy and Spain, and even America and Japan: the public at the Grand Parade comes from far and wide. They are fans of the world of motor racing and, above all, of the world of “24 Hour” racing. In order to warm up the more than 150,000 spectators who await the Parade, Classic Automotive creates some very special musical ambiances.

Thus, the famous group "Pena del Sol" gets everyone on their feet to the blazing rhythms of flamenco which echo out in the streets of Le Mans. Also, the parade swings to the beat of the Brazilian batucada and the inevitable samba, when it is not offering us the sounds of the Breton bagpipes or the Bavarian double bass. The atmosphere is hot and, every year, it is more colourful and more festive than ever! And, another great thing about the parade is that you can see your heroes at close quarters: rubbing shoulders with a mocking Luc Alphand as his voice rings out in the streets of Le Mans, admire the cheeky smile of Johnny Herbert, or laugh at Emmanuele Pirro’s jokes, ever the troublemaker.
This is what the parade is all about: Happiness, more happiness and ever more happiness, all with plenty of simplicity and a huge amount of conviviality. “Le Mans” continues to be “Le Mans”. At a time when, at some tracks, the star drivers keep to themselves and remain largely invisible to the public, this event , the largest automobile endurance race in the world, does not hesitate to parade its heroes through the streets of Le Mans. It is not surprising then, that, every year, there is a record number of spectators in the city centre who want to show their champions just how much they love them.
