Personia was the firest name of the Forest of Perseigne by the legions of Cesar. Until the middle of the 19th century, it was used to provide wood. It now extends over more than 5,000 hectares and offer a large choice a viwpoints and landscapes to its visitors.
For nature lovers, Perseigne is home to many species of animal (stags, hinds, squirrels, woodpeckers etc.) that can be observed at leisure starting from Ancinnes and Livet en Saosnois. From Le Belvèdère, the view is really one to be seen! La Transperseigne offers itineraries for mountain bikers, aimed at all abilities.
