Henri IV’s old city gained its reputation from the Prytanée National military academy, founded by him. It has picturesque flower-decked streets with slate-roofed houses and mansion houses. In summer, visit the city on evening strolls, following in the footsteps of a storyteller, or take the cycle path leading to the famous zoo of La Flèche.
