Created in 1950 around a manor house, this garden laid out in the style of a landscaped English garden, surrounded by hedges and walls. Visitors can stroll along its paved walks and admire its lawns, yews and box trees sculpted into decorative shaped, its mixed borders of hardy perennials... The underlying goal was to divide the space into distinct centres of interest: a landscaped park, a formal French garden, a traditional kitchen garden and orchard, and a ‘forest garden’ with its thick carpets of heather. The Garden is included on the supplemental list of Historical Monuments in 1998, Awarded the Prix Bonpland in 2001 by the National Horticultural Society. Rated Best Park 2004, «Extraordinary Garden» by the Ministry of Culture.
«Extraordinary Garden» Quality Label This label, guaranted by the Ministry of Culture and Communication, recognizes a select number of public parks and gardens for their outstanding botanical, historical or landscape features: composition design, plant varieties, harmony with their surroundings and maintenance.
