The Château opens onto a number of different terraced gardens all dating back to the 17th century. A rose garden with Chinese roses and a boxwood maze form the Eperon garden (spur garden), surrounded by Medieval walls. The traditional French gardens, created by Edouard André in 1880, stretch out between the landscaped park, with its groups of century-old trees, and the Loir river. Edouard André also designed the blooming spring rock garden as well as the vegetable garden with its original fruit trees, vegetables, flowers, glasshouses and orangery.
