The Normandie Maine Regional nature Park is composed of a "haut-pays" and "bas-pays". In the Norman area of the park, the Massif armoricain extends over more than 70 km. The "bas-pays" is composed of the gentle hills of Saosnois (famous for the cultivation of hemp), and the countryside of Alençon and Sées. In the foothills of the Massif armoricain, the Park offers a large choice of landcsapes: large expanses of moorland, forests, bocage, orchards, hills, a dense network of streams and rivers with, occasionally, tumultuous water...
