The wine has always occupied an important place in the Loir Valley, they were celebrated by Rabelais and Ronsard. The Coteaux du Loir geographical area extends over 22 municipalities in Sarthe and Touraine. The Jasnières appellation is part of the Coteaux du Loir region. The soil, natural environment, climate, grape varieties and vinification methods all put production within the same framework as Loire wines. Thanks to their practically constant temperature and their parmanent humidity, the tufa rock caves are perfect for ageing the wine. From the heighs of the village of Chahaignes, the uninterrupted view over the valley and the vineyards are to be discovered!
